Jane’s Philosophy: Communication is a basic element of being human. Expressing thoughts and ideas and understanding someone else's communicative intent is a crucial part of daily life and happiness. I am passionate about working with people in their recovery from a stroke, traumatic brain injury, or other neurological event that has left them with challenges with communication, cognition, and swallowing. I have a creative, patient, thorough, and encouraging therapy style. I focus on blending education, functional strategies, and evidence-based interventions for the client and family to use what is working to help what isn't, and to integrate those strategies into their daily lives.
